Airport check-in

*Important Notice: Change of Check-in Entrance at Athens International Airport - Kindly note that, due to works in progress at Athens International Airport, as of Monday September 13th 2021, AEGEAN Check-in area (check-in counters, self check-in kiosks and baggage drop-off counters), as well as the Service Center are relocated to Entrance 2 (check-in counters 70- 91), from Entrance 4.

Self check-in


Self check-in at the airport is a service that allows you to check-in 24 hours to 30 minutes before the flight scheduled departure time, at the airport by yourself, using the Self Service Kiosks, for one or more flights.

How to self check-in


Step 1: Choose language.

Step 2: Validate information. You may validate your information with the following 4 ways:
  • By inserting the credit card you used to pay for your ticket.
  • By inserting your AEGEAN Miles+Bonus frequent flyer card or the Lufthansa Miles&More card.
  • By inserting your passport.
  • By keying in the number of your e-ticket.
Step 3: The system will automatically assign you a seat on the plane. However, if you wish, you can select a seat of your own choice on the seating plan which will appear on the screen. Passengers travelling as part of a group may select seats for all the group members (up to 9 persons) who have not yet checked-in.

Step 4: The machine is now ready to print out your boarding card.

Step 5: Take your luggage at the dedicated "Drop-off" counters at the airports. If you do not have luggage, proceed towards your gate.

In order to travel, you should go to the airport gate, at least 30 minutes before the departure time of your flight. At the gate you have to present your ID or your passport, as well as the boarding card.

Please take into consideration that you will not be allowed to travel if you have not presented an ID card or passport during the check-in procedure. The name on the identity documents must be exactly the same as the name stated on your ticket.

 Special service desks are available to assist our passengers with special needs, those travelling with pets and for unaccompanied minors.

Business Class passengers & Gold Miles+Bonus card holders


Business Class passengers can check-in their luggage at special check-in counters at all airports abroad.

As for the airports in the domestic network, there are special check-in counters exclusively for business class and Miles+Bonus Gold card holders at the Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion and Alexandroupolis airports. At all the other domestic airports every effort will be made to serve business class travellers as swiftly as possible. 

Connecting flights


As far as connecting flights are concerned, AEGEAN allows you to check-in your luggage at your point of departure and pick it up at your final destination - provided that certain conditions are met. For more information, please contact our Reservations Department.
