SPECIAL FARE CONDITIONS FOR SALE OVER THE INTERNET


The following rules and fares apply to tickets purchased through the AEGEAN website.

The rules concern direct flights. Related to connecting flights, rules apply subject to the route involved. 

You can view and modify your ticket directly through the online reservation management system, provided it was booked through the AEGEAN website.

Each transaction through the AEGEAN call center is subject to a €23 service fee paid by the passenger (for details refer to section 5).

For codeshare flights different fare rules apply (check section 3). Additionally, terms on transfer and baggage allowance depend on the airline operating the flight.

1.    DOMESTIC NETWORK


1.1. Business Class Fare conditions for sale over the Internet

•    Minimum stay: There is no limitation.
•    Maximum stay: Return travel from last stopover point must commence no later than 12 months after departure from point of origin.

1.1.a) Changes (C, D, Z, A): 

I. Business Basic Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route prior to departure with a rebooking fee of €40 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €40 (per passenger and per direction).
An additional €10 rebooking fee will apply when the request for change is made within 7 days prior the original travel. After departure it is allowed to change the date, flight or route with a rebooking fee of €50 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €50 (per passenger and per direction).
Change is allowed only for the same fare group as the original.
II. Business Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route at any time free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur.

1.1.b) Cancellations/Refund:

I. Business Basic Fare: Only the amount of taxes is refunded.
II. Business Fare: Fare and taxes are refunded. 

*Taxes are refundable in full for all tickets.

  • A service fee for ticket refund of €23 per ticket applies.
  • For non-refundable tickets originating from Israel a service fee for ticket refund of €8 per ticket applies.


1.1.c) Discounts for children/infants: Children (aged 2 to 11) pay 80% of the adult fare. Infants (under 2 years of age) travelling without a seat pay 10% of the adult fare.

1.2. Economy Class Fare conditions for sale over the Internet

It is allowed for the same fare group as the original (ComfortFlex), Saver or Business.
II. Family Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): It is allowed prior to departure to change the date, flight or route, free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur. After departure it is allowed to change the date, flight or route with a charge of €50 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus a charge €50 (per passenger and per direction).
Change is allowed for the same fare group as the original (Family), Flex, ComfortFlex or Business.
IV. Light Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): It is allowed to change the date, flight or route prior to departure with a charge of €40 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus a charge €40 (per passenger and per direction). It is allowed only for the same fare group as the original (Light). After departure there can be no change in the date, flight or route.
 An additional €10 rebooking fee will apply when the request for change is made within 7 days prior the original travel.

I. ComfortFlex Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): The fare and taxes are refunded anytime. There is a €45 cancellation fee per direction, paid by the passenger to the company.
II. Flex Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): The fare and taxes are refunded anytime. There is a €45 cancellation fee per direction, paid by the passenger to the company.
III. Family Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): The fare and taxes are refunded anytime. There is a €45 cancellation fee per direction, paid by the passenger to the company.
IV. Light Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T, U, P Class): The amount of taxes is refunded.

Destinations of public service routes:
Athens from/to Karpathos, Ikaria, Naxos, Sitia, Skiathos, Kithira, Leros, Milos, Paros, Skyros, Zakynthos.
Thessaloniki from/to Chios, Samos, Ikaria, Limnos.
Limnos from/to Ikaria.
Rhodes from/to Kastellorizo, Karpathos, Kasos, Sitia.
Karpathos from/to Sitia, Kasos.
Kasos from/to Sitia.

•    Minimum stay: There is no limitation.
•    Maximum stay: Return travel from last stopover point must commence no later than 12 months after departure from point of origin.

2.    INTERNATIONAL NETWORK


2.1.1 Business Class Fare conditions for sale over the Internet for flights between Greece and Cyprus

•    Minimum stay: There is no limitation.
•    Maximum stay: Return travel from last stopover point must commence no later than 12 months after departure from point of origin.

2.1.1.a) Changes:

I. Business Basic Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route prior to departure with a charge of €55 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €55 (per passenger and per direction).
An additional €10 rebooking fee will apply when the request for change is made within 7 days prior the original travel. After departure it is allowed to change the date, flight or route with a charge of €65 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €65 (per passenger and per direction).
Change is allowed only for the same fare group as the original.
II. Business Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route at any time free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur.

Business Basic Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route prior to departure with a charge of €85 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €85 (per passenger and per direction). It is allowed only for the same fare group as the original.
An additional €10 rebooking fee will apply when the request for change is made within 7 days prior the original travel. After departure it is allowed to change the date, flight or route with a charge of €95 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €95 (per passenger and per direction).
Change is allowed only for the same fare group as the original.
II. Business Fare: It is allowed to change the date, flight or route at any time free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur.

The security/ Fuel Surcharge is refunded only on refundable Fares.

3.8.a) Changes

ComfortFlex Fare (Y, B, M, H, Q, V, L, K, S, T Class): It is allowed to change the date, flight or route at any time, free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur. In case of no-show, there is a charge of €50. There is a service fee of €23 paid by the passenger to the company (for details refer to section 5).

3.9.a) Changes

ComfortFlex Fare (Y, B, M, H Class): It is allowed to change the date or flight at any time free of charge at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur. In case of no-show, there is no extra charge. There is a service fee for date or flight changes of €23 per ticket, paid by the passenger to the company.
II. Saver Fare (Q, V, L, K Class): It is allowed to change the date or flight at any time with a charge of €70 per direction in the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €70 per direction. In this case, the non-refundable amount remains non-refundable. After departure it is allowed to change the date, flight or route with a charge of €160 (per passenger and per direction) at the same fare amount – or if the same fare amount is not available – in the next highest available fare amount by paying any fare difference that may occur plus €160 (per passenger and per direction).

II. Saver Fare (Q, V, L, K Class): The amount of taxes is refunded. There is a service fee for ticket refund of €23 per ticket, paid by the passenger to the company.

2. For flights originating Saudi Arabia to Greece:
I. ComfortFlex Fare (Y, B, M, H Class): The fare and taxes are refunded, with a cancellation fee of €50 per direction. There is a service fee for ticket refund of €23 per ticket, paid by the passenger to the company.
II. Saver Fare (Q, V, L, K Class): The fare and taxes are refunded, with a cancellation fee of €45 per direction. There is a service fee for ticket refund of €23 per ticket, paid by the passenger to the company.

3.9.c) Discounts for children/infants
I. ComfortFlex Fare (Y, B, M, H Class): Children (aged 2 to 11) pay 67% of the adult fare. Infants (under 2 years of age) travelling without a seat pay 10% of the adult fare.

4. POLICY FOR TICKETS ISSUED BEFORE 15 SEPTEMBER 2020

Passengers with tickets issued before 15 September 2020 are not affected by the change and retain all privileges associated with the fare family of their ticket. In case a passenger wishes to change their ticket, below conditions shall apply.

Passengers with totally unused tickets issued on/before 14 September 2020 are able to change their ticket:
- GoLight to Light
- Flex to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business
- Saver to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business
- Business to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business

Partially used tickets issued on/before 14 September 2020 will change to fare families valid on/before 15 September 2020.

Passengers with tickets issued on/after 15 September 2020 are able to change their ticket:
- Light to Light
- Flex to Flex or Business
- ComfortFlex to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business
- Saver to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business
- Business to Saver, ComfortFlex or Business

5. GENERAL TERMS

  • The maximum number of baggage allowance per passenger is five (5).
  • In case of ticket change, the new fare must be equal of equal or higher value than the fare originally paid.
  • In case of reissue, our policy is to apply the highest cancellation fee in case of cancellation, and not the latest. For example, a ComfortFlex ticket that is reissued to Business Class, should include the cancellation fee of ComfortFlex in case of refund.
  • For each transaction via the AEGEAN call center, there is a service fee of €23. The fee is not credited at any time. The fee is not credited in case of ticket cancellation.
  • “Open” tickets permitted for ComfortFlex and Business.
  • Tickets that are "open" - subject to ticket’s fare rules - can be reissued only via the AEGEAN call center with a service fee of €23 per ticket. Rebooking fee - if applicable as per ticket’s fare rules - and/or any fare difference will be paid by the passenger. "Open" tickets can be reissued within a year from original ticket issuance.
  • In case of cancellation, non-use of the ticket or part thereof and money refund, there is a service fee for ticket refund of €23, which applies to all categories of fares.
  • In case of change of the ticket through the AEGEAN call center or company offices there is a €23 service fee for domestic and international flights, which applies to all categories of fares.
  • Individual modifications in a party reservation can be made only online and through the AEGEAN call center.
  • On partially used tickets that have already been reissued once, a change can only be made online or by the reservation department or at the airport for a service fee of €23.
  • Round trip tickets or multiple flight tickets should be used by the traveller in totality and in the order in which they have been issued. If a passenger is a holder of such a ticket but does not intend to travel on one or a number of the flights, they will be able to issue their ticket again including only the flights they wish to take provided that they have informed the company before their departure. The ticket will be re-issued based on the terms of the fare category that has been chosen during the initial issue of the ticket. This procedure may be carried out only by the AEGEAN call center or at the airport with a €23 service fee per ticket. In the case a holder of such a ticket does not arrive at the airport at the time of departure of the first flight, without having previously informed the company (No-Show), the ticket is cancelled for all flights. The ticket can only be issued based on the terms of the fare category selected and provided that these terms allow the change or re-issue of a ticket. In this case there will be a €23 service fee per ticket. This procedure may be carried out only by the AEGEAN call center or at the offices of our company at the airport, provided that there are available seats.

 

TICKET CHANGE FEE

- The rebooking fee is based on the fare terms valid on the date the change is made.

- For round trip tickets, rebooking fees may apply for both routes, depending on the fare conditions of the ticket,  i.e. even if a passenger wants to change only one route, rebooking fee may be collected for both fare routes and not only for the one that the passenger has requested a change. The same applies to fare difference, i.e. if a passenger wants to change only one route of a round trip ticket, the passenger might need to pay the fare difference that is coming from the recalculation of the total fare according to the amended routing.

- The rebooking fee is not credited.


NAME CHANGE POLICY

The ticket is a personal document and cannot be transferred to another person.
Any change of name is allowed only in the following cases, always subject to the provision of an official document, either as an original or by fax or email, proving the change refers to the same person.

  1.  If the reservation was made with the surname of one spouse instead of the other or vice versa.
  2. If there was an error in the entry of the name with Latin characters, e.g. MPAMPIS instead of BABIS.
  3. If the passenger has two names, and only one was entered during the reservation process.
  4. If there was a swap between the name and surname, e.g. GEORGE/PAPADOPOULOS instead of PAPADOPOULOS/GEORGE.
  5. If there were mistyping errors for up to three characters maximum in First or Family name for tickets on domestic/international itineraries including passenger type MR iso MRS, MRS iso MR, etc. (attention: change of Passengers Type Code Child to Adult, Adult to Child Not permitted).
  6. If ticketed infant re-associated to adult with different Family name. For example, PAPADOPOULOY/MARIA/INF needs to be associated to PAPADOPOULOS/NIKOLAOSMR.
  7. Diminutives (i.e. Tom iso Tomas, Jon iso Jonathan, Giota iso Panagiota, etc.): If reservation was created under the diminutive and not the full name.
  8. Middle names (in many countries passengers have also middle names): If passenger forgot to include the middle name in the booking.
  9. If there was a mistake in the passenger title (MR iso MRS, MRS iso MR, etc) then the name change is not permitted.

There is a name change fee of €23 for the aforementioned changes. However, reissuance of the air ticket and cancellation of the existing ticket is required. At the time of the ticket's reissuance, the fare and tax difference will normally be charged according to the updated applicable ticket price.

For codeshare flights, name changes are not allowed.
 

REROUTING

It is allowed for all categories of fares, provided that the total amount of the new route is equal to or greater than the amount of the original fare, regardless of the point of departure/destination.

It is allowed for international open jaw* trips for wholly Light, Flex, Family, ComfortFlex, Business Basic or Business tickets. It is allowed for domestic open jaw* trips for wholly Flex, Family, ComfortFlex, Business Basic or Business tickets, provided same fare is booked for the whole journey.

In partially used tickets and in case the remaining segments concern a trip within Greece, there is no possibility of changing the ticket to an international destination.

Ticket Rerouting (a change in point of departure and/or destination) is not available online through the AEGEAN website. It is only available through the AEGEAN call center. After the reissuance of the ticket due to rerouting, any new ticket change (regarding either a change in date or flight) should also be requested through the AEGEAN call center. Please note that for each of the transactions through the AEGEAN call center a service fee of €23 applies.

*Open jaw: A trip that is essentially of a round trip or circle trip nature except that the outward point of departure and the inward point of arrival, or vice versa, are not the same.

Note: The air carrier reserves the right to change the aforementioned fees at any time and without prior notice.

SAME DAY CHANGES

It is allowed only for ComfortFlex and Business Class fares (no Business Basic), enabling changes to an earlier or later flight with the same day of departure and only if there are still seats available in economy and business class respectively, without a fee or fare difference change.

Note: The service is valid for direct flights only on same carrier A3 or OA and will be available during mobile check-in process, Web check-in, Kiosk check-in and at airport check-in counters.
