SOS Children's Villages Greece is an independent non-governmental organization that takes care of children that are unable to live within their biological family. The concept of SOS Children's Village is to offer a home, a SOS family and a SOS Mother. The Village is the social environment that allows children to grow safely, but at the same time connect them with the society in order to enable and teach them how to actively participate in it. The SOS Children's Villages is a big family that surrounds children with love

In Greece, SOS Children's Villages take action and operate with the following programs: SOS Children's Village Vari, SOS Children's Village Plagiari, SOS Children's Village Thrace, SOS Children's Village Crete, Youth Houses in Athens and Thessaloniki, SOS Babies Home in Marousi, Child and Family Support Centers in 10 Cities, Day Care Centers, Educational Centers, Creativity Workshops, Hostel for unaccompanied minor refugees in Athens.

The Mission of SOS Children's Villages Greece is to:

• Create families for children in need, help them shape their own future and participate in the development of the communities they belong to.
• Participate in community life and respond to the needs of social development of the most vulnerable children and young people.
• Establish preventive facilities and programs aimed at helping families to avoid abandoning children.
• Join efforts with community members to provide education and health care, as well as respond to emergencies.
