Wheelchair Assistance

AEGEAN provides all the necessary services to ensure that passengers with special needs enjoy a comfortable flight. Wheelchairs are carried free of charge and are not counted as part of the standard baggage allowance.

Please note that passengers with certain medical conditions and/or requesting special care during the flight may be required to provide a Medical Information Form (MEDIF). The MEDIF is completed by the passenger's attending physician giving details on the patient's state of health and certifying that he/she is fit to fly.

No MEDIF is required when wheelchair assistance is requested for:
  • Visually, hearing and/or speaking impaired passengers
  • Passengers who need a wheelchair, but not as a result of a medical condition, e.g. those who need a wheelchair because of old age, comfort, etc.
