How it works?
We will always keep you informed by Push notifications through the Aegean App, SMS or email with the types of information included in the tables as follow. So that we can do this, kindly check-in through the Aegean App and start receiving Push notifications or provide your up-to-date mobile phone number or email address during the check-in procedure.
a) Operational Notifications

b) Real time Information in case of changes to your flight
On our daily operations, we make every possible effort to get you to your destination on time, as originally scheduled. However, flight irregularities may occur. In that case you will directly receive information with directions and solution to the matters that may occur.
- Delayed Departure
In the event of a delay you will receive a notification about the updated estimated time of departure of your new flight.
- Complimentary Voucher for Snack/Meal
In case of a flight delay (over 2 hours) they will automatically receive a complimentary voucher notification.
- Connection Ambassador
You will receive notifications about the Connection Ambassador awaiting at your arrival in Athens Airport, to give you new information for your connection flight.
- Alternative Flight in case of delay or cancelation
In case your flight is canceled or delayed, and there is no time to board on your connection flight, we will find an alternative flight to your final destination for you and your baggage. You will instantly receive information directly with the details of your new flight, that may be operated with Aegean, Olympic Air or another carrier. If the flight is operated with Aegean or Olympic Air, you will also receive the boarding pass for the new flight.
- Baggage Delay
If you arrive at your destination without your checked baggage, we will have already reported the incident into a worldwide baggage tracing system and created a relevant File. We will then notify you so you give us electronically more details about your baggage(description, color, etc) that will help us in the procedure. If you do that, we will be in continuous contact and will inform you for any update in your case, until you will receive your baggage in the place you’ve indicated to us. - Seat change
In the event of seat change due to operational reasons passengers who have pre-purchased a seat will automatically received a notification with seat re-accomodation of equal value (if available). - Monetary compensation
For our disrupted passengers, the ground handlers remotely issue an iCoupon voucher. Passengers can instantly redeem their voucher, via the AEGEAN App or printed boarding pass or at One Exchange Kiosks (available at the airport of Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Corfu, Rhodes).
Important Notes
• All dates and times mentioned in flight notifications are local for the respective airports.
• Notifications are available for flights operated by both AEGEAN and Olympic Air.
• Notifications delivery may be affected by various factors including technical issues or telecommunications network coverage and availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
“My Notifications” is a consistently enriched service that notifies you automatically with the latest information about your upcoming flight. These notifications are delivered via push notifications in the Aegean app, email or SMS.
Just check-in for your upcoming flight and you will automatically start receiving the notifications as your flight update/s occur. Ιt's important to open your device's Settings app to check if your notifications are enabled.
You will be notified by the following methods, depending on the way you have checked-in:

“My Notifications” service is available for flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air.
There is no charge, the service is free.
Android, iOS and Huawei smartphone and tablet devices. Generally, in every device once a flight update occurs, the respective push message will instantly reach your smartphone or tablet, no matter if the Aegean app is running in the background or not.
Android devices:
- Upon installation of the Aegean app, push notifications are activated by default.
- You also have the option to manually allow (or not) your Android device, to receive push messages from the Aegean app through the device settings.
iOS devices:
- Upon first installation of the Aegean app, you will be prompted to allow notifications from the Aegean app.
- Alternatively, you have the option to manually allow your device to receive notifications from the Aegean app, through Settings ---> Notifications.
Huawei devices:
- Upon installation of the Aegean app, push notifications are activated by default.
- You also have the option to manually allow (or not) your Huawei device, to receive push messages from the Aegean app through the device settings.
If you have checked-in for your flight but have not received any relevant flight notifications until your flight departure, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
For Push Notifications:
- You have not allowed your mobile or tablet device to receive push messages from the Aegean app.
- There is poor Internet connection.
For Email Notifications:
- The email address provided is incorrect.
- The email notifications have been moved to your Spam or Junk folders.
- Your email service provider experiences delays with the respective email server.
- There is poor Internet connection.
For SMS Notifications:
- Your smartphone device has not been set up to receive SMS messages.
- Your mobile network operator does not allow the SMS messages to be delivered to your device.
Once you have checked-in for your upcoming flight, you can deactivate only "Baggage Belt Information" type of push notifications, through the Aegean App Settings.
