Cabin baggage allowance for infants
Infants aged 0 – 24 months travelling in the cabin are entitled to one free personal item or hand luggage up to 6 kilos and dimensions up to 55cm x 40cm x 23cm, with the essentials for their nutrition and hygiene. Additionally, the stroller used for transporting the infant is also allowed. The cabin baggage allowance always corresponds to the ticketed class as described below.
Furthermore, you may bring the stroller used for transporting the infant or the car type seat, which must be handed over at the aircraft entrance in a folded state, at no extra charge(regardless of the number of parts or attachments). The stroller or car type seat must be tagged (either at an AEGEAN check-in counter or at the airport departure gate) and must be fully foldable. For safety reasons, it will be stored in the cargo hold during the flight and will be returned to you upon arrival at your destination. If you wish to transport an infant car seat as well, you must contact the AEGEAN call center to add it to your booking as a special baggage item.
If you prefer for your infant to travel in an infant car seat (maximum base dimensions of 40cm x 40cm), a separate seat reservation is mandatory. In this case, the car seat is not charged as an item, as the charge only applies to the reservation of the additional seat. The reservation of a separate seat for an infant, as well as the the request for transporting the car seat in the aircraft cabin, can only be arranged through AEGEAN’s call center or your Travel Agent. Read more detailed information on Traveling with infants with an extra seat.
