Extra baggage & Overweight baggage

Extra baggage is any bag exceeding the free checked baggage allowance corresponding to your fare. For example, the first piece of baggage if you have a Light or Flex ticket, the second piece of baggage if you have a ComfortFlex ticket or the third piece of baggage if you are travelling Business Class.

Overweight baggage is considered any checked baggage weighing over 23kg and up to 32kg. Baggage weighing over 32kg can only be accepted as cargo. Baggage weighing up to 32kg, but exceeding the dimension limitation of 158 cm (62 inches), is considered special baggage and is charged accordingly.

If you wish to carry an extra piece of baggage which also happens to be overweight, you will incur an additional charge.

The charges apply only to flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air aircraft.

Pre-purchased baggage is non-refundable. Refunds are possible only under the following circumstances:

• If there is a flight change due to flight cancellations or delays, or to schedule changes,
• In the event of baggage loss.

In case of rerouting and reissue of your flight, pre-purchased baggage is included in the new ticket. Please note that if the new baggage’s price is higher, the difference will be charged.

Fees depend on the fare family, the destination and the date of the flights. Pre-purchased additional baggage when traveling under Family fare, has a 50% discount in relation to baggage added when traveling under Light fare. You can find the precise cost through baggage calculator or at the time of booking.
