Into The Woods

The masterly, award-winning musical Into the Woods by the legendary musical theatre composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim and the eminent author James Lapine returns to the Greek National Opera Alternative Stage.

A dark coming-of-age fairy tale, full of rapturous melodies, constant plot twists, disarming humor and an evocative atmosphere.

The Into the Woods musical, continue to enchant audiences across the world and comes again in the approved version for piano and percussion. The musical direction and coaching are by conductor Stathis Soulis, and the stage direction and Greek translation were done by Dimitris Ayiopetritis-Bogdanos, one of the most charismatic and creative directors of his generation. The lyrics are sung in a Greek translation by Julia Diamantopoulou.
