Fin de siècle: Concert for flute, harp and piano
Three active soloists in Greek music, Natalia Geraki, Sissy Makropoulou and Titos Gouvelis, present a programme that explores the relationship of the great pioneer of French music Claude Debussy with his earlier and later contemporaries on the set of the 19th century (fin de siècle) in Paris.
The program of the concert follows and reveals the transition from romanticism to impressionism in France, all the nuances of musical creation of an era of restlessness, boldness, suspended between a glorious past and a future that seemed open to many different visions. Actor Giorgos Karamichos narrates texts by Natalia Geraki, which are interspersed between the works and describe the era and the relationships between the composers.
