1. Except for cases where the refusal results from security considerations, the passenger’s health condition, concern for flight safety, or where the passenger does not have proper travel documents. In the case of refusal for security reasons, the passenger will be entitled to compensation, provided that he arrived at the airport three hours before the flight time, presented valid travel documents, and cooperated with the relevant authorities.
2. Except for cases of cancellation resulting from special circumstances, strike, shutdown, or avoidance of desecration of a holiday or Shabbat.
3. If an overnight stay is required.
4. Except in cases where the passenger was notified 14 days before the flight date as stated in the flight details.

If you are travelling between Greece and Israel and your flight is delayed, cancelled, or disrupted, you are protected by:

  • Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 (EU261) – for flights departing from the EU or operated by an EU airline
  • Israeli Aviation Services Law (ASL) – for flights to and from Israel

These laws ensure your right for care, refund, rebooking and, in some cases, financial compensation.
Where both frameworks may apply, passengers are entitled to the protection provided by the applicable law. However, benefits can be received only under one of  the legal frameworks above, as per paragraph 20 of the ASL.

How to Claim Compensation or Refund

To submit a claim for flight delay compensation, cancellation refund, or denied boarding:
1. Complete online the Refund request form
2. Provide your booking reference
3. Attach receipts (if requesting expense reimbursement)

Claims are assessed in accordance with EU261 or Israeli Aviation Services Law.
