Terminal 2 / The Queen's terminal. Aegean's new home at Heathrow

Starting 23 July 2014, Aegean passengers will have the privilege to use the impressive brand-new Terminal 2 at London's Heathrow Airport.

Terminal 2, designed by architect Luis Vidal, was constructed jointly by Heathrow, Star Alliance and its member airlines with the aim of creating a truly integrated hub at one of the most famous international airports in the world.

Optimised for the modern air traveller, the facilities incorporate state-of-the-art technology and establish a new level of service for Aegean passengers.

The check-in area has been designed with speed and efficiency in mind. Passengers can use one of 81 common-use automated service machines to check in and print out stickers for hand luggage. They then proceed to the bag-drop point where hold baggage is scanned and checked in.

After passing security control, passengers proceed to the main departure lounge where they can enjoy an impressive view of the taxiway through the immense windows. They will also have access to dozens of options for food and shopping, rest areas and children's play areas.

Business Class and Miles &Bonus Gold passengers will have access to the all-new Star Alliance lounge. The new lounge is fully equipped with all comforts and amenities and is located in one of the building’s most advantageous locations, providing a splendid view of the runway.

One of the key advantages of Terminal 2 is also the fact that it will house all the Star Alliance member airlines operating out of Heathrow. Thus, as soon as the relocation of all the airlines is complete, connections for transfer passengers will be smoother than ever at Heathrow Airport, with a minimum connection time of 60 minutes.

In anticipation of 23 July, be the first to take a tour of Terminal 2 with the video below.
