With safety as our number-one priority, we have invested heavily in state-of-the-art, brand-new planes, control systems, technical support and staff training.
Our fleet of planes undergo meticulous day-by-day maintenance by our airport technical crew, consisting of engineers, aircraft construction specialists and mechanics.
Every aircraft in Aegean’s fleet is equipped with the latest and most sophisticated safety systems, including the ACAS II (Airborne Collision Avoidance System), the EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) and the DFGS (Digital Navigation System).
Aegean Airlines fleet consists of 22 AIRBUS A320, 4 AIRBUS A321, 3 AIRBUS A319
Aegean has ordered a total of 27 AIRBUS A320/321 aircraft. Four out of the 27 aircraft belong to the A321 family, accommodate a total of 195 passengers and is used by Aegean to cover a wider range of destinations from 2008.
As a result of the above mentioned investment, and as of 2008, Aegean has the youngest fleet in the region of Balkans and South-Eastern Europe. The new A320s will replace the older aircraft and will be used for Aegean’s expansion on both domestic and international routes.
