Aegean and TAP Portugal, a member of Star Alliance, have entered a commercial agreement covering flights from Athens-Lisbon and Thessaloniki-Lisbon.
Since March 26, 2006 the two companies have been offering code-shared flights on their respective itineraries. This means that flights operated by both companies can be combined: bookings are made through international booking systems and the passenger only requires one ticket – issued by either Aegean or TAP.
The new arrangement, allowing transfers between the two companies’ networks, means that both TAP and Aegean can now use shared codes for flights between selected European destinations and the cities of Lisbon, Athens and Thessaloniki, via Rome, Munich and Frankfurt. This has meant greatly improved services for customers of both airlines.
