Fleet

With safety as our number-one priority, we have invested heavily in state-of-the-art, brand-new planes, control systems, technical support and staff training.

Our fleet of planes undergo meticulous day-by-day maintenance by our airport technical crew, consisting of engineers, aircraft construction specialists and mechanics.

Every aircraft in Aegean’s fleet is equipped with the latest and most sophisticated safety systems, including the ACAS II (Airborne Collision Avoidance System), the EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) and the DFGS (Digital Navigation System).

Aegean Airlines fleet consists of 17 AIRBUS A320, 4 AIRBUS A321, 1  BOEING 737-300, 3  BOEING 737-400, 6 AVRO RJ 100 jets manufactured by BAE Systems (British Aerospace) and 2 ATR-72-500.

Aegean has ordered a total of 27 AIRBUS A320/321 aircraft that will be gradually delivered by 2010. Four out of the 27 aircraft belong to the A321 family, accommodate a total of 195 passengers and will be used by Aegean to cover a wider range of destinations from 2008.

As a result of the above mentioned investment, and as of 2008, Aegean will have the youngest fleet in the region of Balkans and South-Eastern Europe. The new A320s will replace the older aircraft and will be used for Aegean’s expansion on both domestic and international routes.
