Aegean and bmi, a Lufthansa subsidiary and member of the Star Alliance signed a cooperative agreement which allows the two companies to operate code share flights as part of their network, thus offering substantial advantages to their passengers.
This collaboration allows Aegean to add six new connections through London to its international flight network. Aegean will offer its passengers flights through Heathrow to Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Aberdeen and Ireland's capital, Dublin. At the same time, bmi will offer its passengers flights through Athens to four more Greek destinations – Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania and Rhodes. All flights will bear the code of both companies (“A3” and “BD”).
